Larry (not his real name) was a logger and had been working in the Monongahela National Forest area for a few months. It was summer in the mid 1990’s and Larry was cruising through the winding roads just like any other morning. It was early morning in the summer so the sun had risen and it was light out.
After coming around a turn, Larry could see something up ahead that was in the road. From a distance it looked like some people were standing in the road, so Larry started to slow down. Once he slowed down and got within a few feet, he knew that something was not right.
At first glance, Larry thought he saw people. However, when he looked closer, he realized they weren’t people or at least not all human. Larry described three people who were about 4 feet tall that were a cross between a person and a possum (Possum People). There were three of them, but one was lying down on the road. It appeared it had been hit by a car. Larry spent no time waiting around or offering help to these “Possum People.” Instead, he took off like a bat out of hell.
